AL-Taj
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Last updated: 14 September 2026
Overview
This policy explains how cancellations, voids, no-shows, failed bookings, and refunds are handled for flights booked through AL-Taj. Airline fare rules, supplier rules, payment-provider rules, and local legal requirements may also apply.
For cancellation or refund support, contact support@altajtours.com.
Airline fare rules apply first
Refundability, cancellation penalties, no-show penalties, change fees, void eligibility, and refund amount are primarily determined by the airline and supplier fare rules attached to the selected fare.
- Some fares are fully non-refundable.
- Some fares are refundable only after airline and supplier penalties.
- Promotional, special, group, or low-cost-carrier fares may have stricter rules.
- Taxes, airport fees, seat fees, baggage fees, meals, insurance, or other extras may be partially refundable, non-refundable, or handled separately depending on provider rules.
Cancellation before ticketing
If payment has been made but ticketing has not completed, we will try to cancel or stop the booking where technically possible. If ticketing has already completed by the time the request is processed, the normal post-ticketing cancellation rules will apply.
Cancellation after ticketing
Once a ticket has been issued, cancellation is subject to airline and supplier rules. Any refund will usually be reduced by airline penalties, supplier penalties, payment-provider charges where applicable, and AL-Taj service fees where applicable.
We can only process a cancellation after receiving a valid request from the customer or authorized traveler and after validating the booking reference, PNR, and relevant identity or contact details.
No-show and missed flights
If a traveler does not check in, misses a flight, arrives late, or is denied boarding, the airline may mark the booking as a no-show. No-show penalties can be higher than normal cancellation penalties, and some fares become fully non-refundable after no-show.
Schedule changes and airline cancellations
If an airline cancels a flight or makes a significant schedule change, the available options depend on airline policy. Options may include rebooking, airline credit, partial refund, full refund, or no refund depending on the fare, route, disruption reason, and airline rules.
Failed booking or failed ticketing
If payment succeeds but the booking or ticketing fails, AL-Taj will either attempt to complete the booking at the available fare, offer an alternative where possible, or initiate a refund of the collected amount when no ticket has been issued.
If a fare changes before ticketing, we may ask you to approve the new fare difference before proceeding. If you do not approve, we will initiate the applicable refund for the failed unticketed booking.
Duplicate or excess payments
If a duplicate payment or excess charge is confirmed, we will initiate a refund for the duplicate or excess amount after reconciliation with the payment provider and booking records.
Refund method and timing
Approved refunds are normally returned to the original payment method unless the payment provider or bank requires another permitted method.
- AL-Taj processing begins after airline or supplier refund confirmation where required.
- Airline or supplier approval can take several business days or longer, especially for involuntary cancellations, schedule changes, or manual refund cases.
- After AL-Taj initiates a refund, bank or payment-provider posting time may take additional business days.
- Foreign exchange differences, bank charges, card charges, or payment-provider charges may affect the amount finally received where applicable.
Non-refundable charges
The following may be non-refundable unless airline, supplier, or applicable law requires otherwise:
- Airline cancellation or no-show penalties
- Supplier or payment-provider fees
- AL-Taj service fees charged for booking, cancellation, reissue, or support handling
- Seat, baggage, meal, lounge, insurance, or other ancillary fees where provider rules make them non-refundable
- Bank charges, currency conversion differences, or card charges outside AL-Taj's control
How to request cancellation or refund
Send your request to support@altajtours.com with the booking reference, PNR if available, traveler name, contact email or mobile number used for booking, and the requested action. Additional verification may be required before we process the request.
Changes to this policy
